Arianna’s Destiny update

So in my last blog, which I am ashamed to say was a month ago, I promised an update on Arianna’s Destiny and the reason I haven’t blogged for a month was because I didn’t want to write about anything other than an update as that was what I had promised I would do. The other side of that Catch-22 was that I was feeling all over the place with Arianna and unsure of what the update would say.
I have mentioned before that I wanted a publication date of 2013 because I had a 2011 and a 2012 and wouldn’t that be a nice pattern to follow…but the reminder that she would get published when she was completely finished which was more important than my OCD plus the calendar reminding me how little is left of 2013…and I have to concede to the idea that Arianna’s sequel will get published early 2014…and you know what? I am completely okay with that.
I have Arianna 2/3 of the way edited…I have the last couple chapters to write because I had to read and edit what had come before to know where I was going to take her to finish up this novel. Just as it helps me as a teacher to understand where a student has come from to be able to help them to get where they need to go.
My goal is January 2014. Now that NaNoWriMo is over, my focus is entirely on Arianna and what she needs to be ready for the world.
Her cover is complete…and breathtaking.
Her pages are becoming equally complete…and in my mind equally breathtaking.
My focus is on this novel and this novel only until she is ready. I’ll keep you posted as I know more.
