Whatever You Make of It

Every on asks me which novel of mine is my favorite, and I say each of them is my favorite in its own right.

This one is the first novel I published and for that reason alone, it will be my favorite, but it will also always hold a special place in my heart because Jac and Jyn are two characters I have loved since I have met them. I have been Jyn, in love with a friend (though things haven’t worked out for me in that front — maybe I just haven’t met my Jac).

What was fun about this novel was the interaction between Jac and Jyn and Johnathon and Rebecca. Having this as my first novel, I could have my characters ask the questions I needed to figure out.

You should check this book out. It’s a fun read and a unique book..and there has even started to be an inkling of a second novel, floating around in my mind.

For the past six years, I have taken the month of November and hid out to participate in National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo (or as I lovingly refer to it as “nano”).

The goal is simple: 50,000 words. 30 days. See…easy 😀

Four of the six years, I have been successful. I have gotten my 50,000 words in 30 days. I have broken down the word count to 1667 words a day, and I have reached the goal. Go me.

What I have found that works for me is

**an outline

**Prompts for plot points

**good pens

**music in my ears

**tasty beverage in my cup

**notebook for project

**comfy chair

**food I can eat with my left hand

**my wrist brace for days I have pushed too far

**abandoning friends and family in order to hit my word count

Love you all. See you in December. I will post about my other books and post updates on my progress
